Advance On-Page Optimization Guide

To boost your ranking quickly, you should consider advanced tactics. Here are some key methods that will take your site to the top level.

1: Let’s start with W3C Validator. In case you do not have enough knowledge about W3C or hearing about it for the first time, give me a chance to explain it. There is a popular World Wide Web Consortium i.e. W3C.org.

It is an international consortium in which different organizations, public and full-time employees work together. They develop various web standards to measure websites. W3C has great tools to determine each website thoroughly.

Google is one of the major search engines through which online surfers search their desired info. If you design your site that meets W3C standards, Google will also give importance to it. The more value your site gets, the more ranking it will receive.

You can easily validate your website with W3C Validator. For this, you can simply go to Validator.w3.org and enter your website URL or link to any particular web page and click on “Check” button.

If the result shows plenty of errors, it is better to hire a professional to fix them. On the other hand, if you try to fix the problems on your own without enough knowledge and experience about coding, you may end up with frustration. You can save your valuable time by leaving this task to a professional who deals in coding to clean up the mistakes.

2. The second technique relates to your website’s layout and its navigation that can enhance the visibility and usability of your website. Additionally, internal linking is an important aspect of on-page optimization. You should also link all your web pages in a proper sequence. The simple layout you make, the easy-to-use website you can present for online viewers.

Ensure that you link your main page (Home Page) to other top-level web pages. These other pages are also known as category pages that should in turn point to your Home Page. There are some webmasters who add navigational links on the side, top or bottom of their website. Moreover, you can think to use breadcrumbs. No matter which techniques you use on your site, internal linking is an important part of page-optimization that you should never forget.

3. The last on-page optimization technique that you should consider is keyword density. Google has recently come up with its Penguin updates which highlighted the importance of ‘keyword density’. The keywords and links should be within your content apart from the navigational links.

So, how should you include keyword on your website? To find out the answer to this, we need to focus on what Google wants from users’ point of view. If you add keywords excessively on your page, Google won’t read it properly. Consequently, your website will go down on Search Engine Results Page (SERP).

The keyword density (percentage of keywords that you should use versus the content on your web page) should be around three percent. Do not try to place keywords every here and there. Rather try to maintain a good flow in your write-up and then include keywords. This looks more natural, and readers and Google also love it.
